I just had the pleasure of seeing the engagement book you made for Jack and Paul and was moved to write. It is SO INCREDIBLY BEAUTIFUL!! Paul had a crowd gathering around the work table oohing and aahhhing to every page. Someone even asked if they had "done an ad for Prada"(!) What impresses me the most is how well you captured their personal style and love for eachother. Paul and Jack are such special people and beautiful couple and the photos really illustrate this. I'm so glad they found you for their photographers. Amazing work!!

We just got back from photographing 5 engagement sessions in Los Angeles, we couldn't have asked for cooler clients (watch for sneak previews of those soon)! Here is a photo from our hotel room balcony shot with the 15mm fisheye.

Today, while crossing the street, I was stopped by one of my photos...driving past...on a trailer. Cool! Looking at images day after day on computer monitors - it's still awesome when you see one in print and as big as you are. The University of Otago has given us so many fun projects this year and seeing this photo driving past today has motivated me to get a sampling of them up and very soon.

The results just came out for the 2008, Quarter 1 competition and Jaime and I both placed 8th - in the getting ready and details categories, respectively. I also had a couple others further down the line in the late teens and here they are along with the judges comments. JUDGES COMMENTS: The hairspray couldn't be any closer to her head. Wonderful how the light catches the plume of hairspray smoke. I can smell the fumes just looking at this!

We hare having such a hard time choosing a photo for an upcoming
feature in a yet to be disclosed (and seriously exciting) publication.
So... we are enlisting the help of all of our loyal clients and blog
supporters! Please select your favorite image from the ones below. A
couple of bits of information to help you....
- The publication is HUGE! It will be about 23 inches long and 15 inches wide.
- It is for brides who are looking for wedding photographers.
- The red line is where the middle of the book will be.

Our beautiful, brand spanking new blog created especially for us by Into the Darkroom.
We are very excited and can't wait to fill it up with all kinds of cool stuff! For those who check regularly, you may have noticed that that we were pretty bad at updating our old blog, but the reason was that it was such a pain to update! Excuses, excuses, I know... but do check more often as we are planning on blogging much more than before. If you scroll all the way to the bottom, you will find a little button called RRS - if you press that, it will add us to your tool bar and let you know when there are updates! We have also added a much better commenting system - so I want to see your comments... don't be shy!
We will keep up our old blog here if you are new to our work and want to check it out!
