The third day... It was a long day that again, Sonia and Nilay took in stride. It started out early in the am with a morning prayer - Sonia with her family and Nilay with his. Then they did what is called Haldi Pithi - which is when all the guests spread a turmeric and ghee mix all over the bride and groom. I have heard it can get pretty crazy... but the family was surprisingly tame this time. :) In the evening there was a fantastic meal (all Indian vegetarian!!!! It was the best meal of my whole life, hands down) and lots of dancing and celebration including the Raas Garba which is a gorgeous and fun dance performed with sticks.
